Laughing Well

Wellbeing through laughter, breathing and genuine connection

Welcome

Hello, I'm Emelia

Laughing Well is a personal approach to wellbeing—created to help people feel lighter, more connected, and more able to thrive in everyday life.

At the heart of everything I do is a simple belief:

You don’t have to feel your best to begin. Small moments of laughter, breathing and genuine connection can help you get there.

A Simple Approach to Wellbeing

Wellbeing is often something we turn to when things feel overwhelming. But in reality, it’s something we benefit from investing in early—before stress builds and before burnout grows.

Through simple practices like laughter and breathing, we can support the body and nervous system to release tension and stress, and gently shift how we feel.

This work is not about forcing positivity or ignoring difficulty.
It’s about creating space to notice what is still present—
moments of ease, connection, strength, and even lightness—
alongside everything else.

Small, consistent moments like this can make a meaningful difference over time.

You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to arrive feeling a certain way.
You are welcome exactly as you are.

How I Work

My approach is gentle, grounded, and strength-based.

I combine laughter, breathing practices, reflection, and human connection to create spaces where people can pause, reset, and reconnect with themselves and others.

Rather than focusing on fixing anything, the aim is to create the conditions for change to feel more possible.

I also draw on laughter yoga techniques, which I use in an accessible and inclusive way suitable for people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

The intention is always the same: to help people feel more resourced, steady, and supported and ready to thrive in everyday life.

“I really feel better after speaking to you, and even the laughter at the end really helps.”

Breathing Well

Breathing Well offers simple and accessible experiences that use the breath as a tool for wellbeing, reflection, and rest.

Through gentle breathing practices, we can create space to calm busy minds, reconnect with ourselves, and develop practical tools that support us in everyday life.

Wellbeing Rooted in Faith

My Christian faith shapes the heart behind my work, but all are warmly welcome — whatever your background, beliefs, or experience.

Every Laughing Well offering is inclusive and accessible to everyone. For those who would like it, there is also the option to explore wellbeing through a Christian lens.

Sessions can be gently adapted for churches, Christian groups, retreats, or individuals who wish to include faith as part of their wellbeing journey. These may include breath prayers, biblical reflection, and other things alongside the same practical wellbeing tools used throughout Laughing Well.

“Emelia ran a workshop for us and it was excellent. It worked really well as a wellbeing and team-building session.”

A personal note

My work is shaped by supporting people across many different life situations and cultures. Again and again, I’ve seen that people are more resilient than they feel — and that what helps most is not pressure or fixing, but safe space, genuine connection, and simple, accessible tools.

Laughing Well is an extension of that.

A place to breathe.
A place to reconnect.
A place to feel lighter, even in the middle of real life.

If you’d like to explore working together, I’d love to hear from you.
